Help Center Training & Presentations
The Help Center offers a variety of trainings to organizations and businesses free of charge. We know fellow community members, co-workers, and neighbors are critical in helping others get help. Our goal is to help every community member be aware of how to respond when they or someone they care about is struggling and the resources available to help.
Below is a list of topics we have staff available to present on. We offer a variety of training lengths, styles, and age-appropriate content to meet your needs. We prefer to come to your organization, however, if you do not have space we will work with you to identify a venue.

“Dear Help Center, THANK YOU for taking the time to visit with our participants. You are all SO wonderful at holding comfortable space for people. The Help Center is the most valuable/important resource in our community and I cannot thank you enough for your hearts and service. Remember to take care of yourselves! Loads of love from Big Sky Youth Empowerment to you & your team – Kayla” |

ASIST Training
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don't need any formal training to attend the workshop—anyone 16 or older can learn and use the ASIST model. The Help Center periodically offers this training. Please email us to learn of any upcoming trainings.
ASIST is more appropriate for professionals who are currently working with individuals who may be thinking about suicide.
