Help Center Program Changes

We have worked creatively to keep our services up and running where able:
  • Our Hearts & Homes supervised visitation program now has technology that allows children and families to continue to stay in contact through technology in a safe, online environment.
  • Our Sexual Assault Counseling Center still outreaches to the hospital for our clients but our walk-in services and free, trauma-based counseling program is now offered via telehealth.
  • Our Child Advocacy Center remains open for multidisciplinary interviews for emergent cases but our follow up, mental health, parenting education, and coordination services are now offered through telehealth platforms.
  • Our Help Center 211 crisis, suicide and resource lines will ALWAYS remain open 24/7/365. Since opening in 1971, we have never missed a day of service. Our crisis walk-in services are available. PLEASE CALL before heading over: 406-586-3333
  • Sacks Thrift Store is now OPEN, as of May 6th. Check out their website for hours.

  • Help Center, Inc. is proud to be a part of the Southwest Montana Community Organizations Active in Disaster (SWMT COAD), collaborating and coordinating with other vital service and government organizations to respond to the current situation. Learn more about the variety of ways this group is collaborating HERE. Multiple members of our staff are committing numerous hours to assist the SWMT COAD efforts by actively playing a role on subcommittees that are addressing large community needs such as shelter, financial assistance, communications and more.

  • Montana 211 is a critical community service in times like these. We are part of the Gallatin County Emergency Management Plan and system and as such have been activated to help respond with everything from information to mental health. Anyone can call 211 or access Montana211.org 24/7 to receive information about community resources, if they are in crisis, suicidal or need to talk. We are working everyday to gather information about changes in community resources due to COVID-19 to give timely and accurate referrals to those in need. We are also able to collect important data on gaps and needs in our community and share with key stakeholders through 211.

  • We are working collaboratively on a community-wide response to the mental health needs of our community, in partnership with Bozeman Health, Gallatin Mental Health Center a Behavioral Health Urgent Care is now available. LEARN MORE>. We are also working with private mental health professionals, and other vital mental health services organizations.

  • We are expanding our Telecare program. Telecare has been a long-standing program in which we make daily phone calls to home bound seniors for emotional support and medication reminders. We are now able to offer this service to also include those who are disabled, home bound or anyone who would benefit from regular contact with us. We are also working with other senior-serving organizations to expand our program to this population as well.

  • We have increased capacity to follow-up with individuals we connect with community resources to ensure their needs were met and connect with additional resources as needed.
