Get out your sneakers and pull out your costumes for this year’s 2020 Virtual RFYL Halloween Costume Contest. Check out all the costume categories below. We have some amazing prizes, including gift cards to local coffee shops, hotels, pet stores, and fun toys and gift packages for the kids.

Winners for each category will be chosen by our amazing panel of judges!

Before choosing your costumes, please read:
Please use good taste and judgement in choosing costumes that are respectful to the diversity of our community. Costumes that play on ethnic or racist tropes, like caricatures of another ethnic group or promote harmful stereotypes including those on the basis of race, creed (religion), color, national origin, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity are not appropriate. If you're thinking of using someone else's culture as a costume, steer clear.
In Honor Of... Graphic has a big with
Many choose to participate in Run for Your Life to honor a loved one, or those that have struggled with suicidal thoughts or mental health.

We will be DRAWING from all the submissions in this category. Winner will receive a $200 gift card to a local tattoo shop!
Inspirational course. Graphic is a map with HOPE spelled out.
This is a creative way to participate in the run/walk on your own or with a team.

Here are some ideas:
  • Create a 5k course that spells out an inspirational word (e.g. HOPE) or a person's name you are running in honor of (e.g. JAMES).
  • Form a group and have each person run a letter of a word/name/phrase (e.g. one member runs a 3.1 mile "H", one runs a 3.1 mile "O", etc.
How to make your own:
  1. Go to On the Go Map
  2. Click "Search" in the upper right corner
  3. Enter a zip code/address
  4. Click the +/- signs (lower right corner) to zoom in/out
  5. Click on your starting location (e.g. 10th and Main) and a little green dot will appear
  6. Continue clicking points along your course until you've mapped out a course that spells your word or letter and is 3.1 miles long

We will be DRAWING from all the submissions in this category. Winner will receive a gift card to a local coffee shop! Be sure to share the map screenshot when you submit your photos.
